Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

  • Account data — your name and email, via our authentication provider.
  • Content you upload — the photos and text you add to a card.
  • Order data — what you bought and when (payment card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us).
  • Technical data — device, browser, and usage information used to run and secure the service.

2. How we use it

We use your data to generate and deliver your cards, process payments, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, meet legal obligations, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) requires it, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to create your card and process your order), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service and prevent abuse), your consent (for optional analytics), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Service providers

We share data with the providers that make SkitCards work, only as needed: our hosting platform, authentication provider, payment processor, and the AI providers that generate your card’s images, video, and music. Your uploaded photos are sent to these AI providers solely to produce your card. Some providers may process data outside your country; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

5. Storage & retention

Your uploads and generated cards are stored privately and served only through authenticated, time-limited links. We keep your content while your account or draft is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to support delivery, re-downloads, and our legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email us. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your current draft and any referral. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand how the site is used; these are only set where consent is required and given.

8. Children

SkitCards is not directed at children and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
